Refrigerator Magnet
I am a magnet
On the refrigerator door
Holding a picture of your love
By choice
Surrounded by a cloud of electrons
Some of which belong to you
Others like stray-dog-spirits
Once fed
Nipping at unconscious consciousness
Throughout busy motionless
Days on display
Feeling magnetism decaying
Tenuous temporal hold
Attraction bled
Your thoughts visit
The refrigerator
Every day
When they get food
For your reality
I hold a picture
Over my face
While a pack of wild minutes
Bark and drown
My voice
You gave the magnet on my refrigerator a voice. Very unique.
They are kind of like poetry. Many are almost completely invisible, some are arresting for a moment, others linger in the attention, and a very, very few are timeless. Thanks for visiting.
Mine are mostly pictures that tell a story , then scattered animals that are growing old, as you say, ” Very few are timeless ” Thank you.
Please tell me where we can read your work!
Great poem. I discussed your poem in an article.
I would love to read it. Is it online?
